The growing community around this project has been vital to its success. We’ve honestly lost count of the number of times people have come forward with a new contact, an important discovery, or simply offers of assistance. Become a patron
A DRESDEN 1957 patron is someone who makes a gift of $5,000 or more towards completion of this documentary. So far, seven individuals have become patrons, contributing significantly to the success of our crowdfunding campaign in June 2024.

Hold a fundraising event with us
Organize a ticketed event for your community group or church and we’ll join you! Meet the director, hear the story first-hand, and raise money to support the project.
Whenever possible, we will include one or more family members of the victims to share their memories.
For groups in Southwestern Ontario, we’ll attend in person. For other regions, or for virtual events, we will join you remotely.

Research: help us with searching archives or combing through newspaper microfiche. If you have an area of expertise, you can assist in specific areas.
Historical items or clothing: If you have old-fashioned tools, clothes, devices, or vehicles, we’re still filming some shots showing details of life in 1950’s Ontario.
Photos or film from the 1950's especially construction, people working on farms, or immigrant ships coming from Rotterdam.
3. VOLUNTEER
If you have extra time or skills that you'd like to put to use, there are practical areas ways that you can help us tell this story! If you have photos, film, or physical items from the 1950's, we're still looking for things like this we might include in the documentary.
Share your story
Share your own stories about workplace safety, your family’s immigration experience, or other lost pieces of our history. And if you have photos or family memories of the Dresden cave-in, please share those too!
