SPONSORING DRESDEN 1957
Helping bring a forgotten story back to light
Our work on Dresden 1957 is being made possible through the support of organizations, community leaders, and individuals who believe this story deserves to be remembered.
Their support will allow us to complete the film, share it with audiences, and honour the six Dutch immigrant workers who lost their lives in the Dresden excavation collapse .
We are deeply grateful to the following Sponsors and Funders.

Grounded Engineering
COMMUNITY SPONSORs

Our first community sponsor is Grounded Engineering, a Canadian geotechnical engineering firm whose work is rooted in themes at the heart of the Dresden story: soil mechanics, safe excavations, and the responsibility to protect workers and communities.
Their support of Dresden 1957 reflects a commitment to remembering the lessons of the past and educating the public on the importance of safe, responsible engineering practices today.
COMMUNITY FUNDING
Municipality of Chatham-Kent
We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent through Councillor Ward Funding.
Seven Chatham-Kent councillors contributed a total of $21,250 in Ward Funding toward Dresden 1957, helping preserve and share an important chapter of local history.
This support recognizes the significance of the Dresden disaster not only as a local tragedy, but as a story with lasting relevance for families, workers, immigrants, and communities across Canada.
